CAP: Up to 5mm in diameter. A beautiful little fungus with the pubescent white cap hemispherical to convex in shape.  The margin is inflexed, wavy and slightly striate.  STIPE: Cylindrical, distinctly pubescent to hairy and white. The base has no strigose hairs. GILLS/PORES: The white gills are decurrent, reduced and do not reach the margin. They are more often than not fold-like and sometimes  absent. The gills are thin, white, and widely spaced. FLESH: Whitish with no specific taste or smell. SPORES: 6.5 - 8.5µm x 4 - 4.7 µm, ellipsoid, subamygdaliform, smooth, non-amyloid. HABITAT: Usually found in damp places on fallen twigs, mainly broadleaf, and on grass and plant remains. SEASON: Late summer to winter. EDIBILITY: Inedible.
